A mountaineer when asked why he climbs mountain replied, ‘because it is there.’ If I am asked why I write poetry or get a book of poems published I can do no better than pinch some words from that worthy’s reply and say, ‘because the book is there within me and wants to find expression in that form.’ If I were asked why I chose the ZORBA BOOks as my publisher the reply is involuntary and instantaneous. When I was planning to publish my first book – a novel in English, ‘BY GOD WHAT A LIFE- the quest for a publisher was wide and painstaking before I zeroed in on ZORBA BOOKS and got them to publish that novel. The experience during that process was so pleasing, the professionalism of the publishers about the entire process so perfect, the politeness and courtesy on the part of the publisher’s staff to persistent demands regarding various aspects of the book so helpful and correct that I didn’t have to think of any other publisher this time. It had to be the ZORBA BOOK. I have pleasure in saying the decision has proved to be just perfectly right.
