The Life Of An Indian Soldier’s Child

My father is my hero,

My father is a soldier,

He carries the duty of a father,

Yet sacrifices for our country like no other.

He fights for our country,

He answers its call,

He stands between us and danger,

So freedom won’t fall.

All my friends at school,

think I’m proud of the gun,

but I’m actually proud of,

all the wars he has won.

He doesn’t fight for a piece of land,

Nor to earn respect that high,

But because kids can chase their dreams,

And fly up into the sky.

What is he fighting for?

This India of his,

A place where kids can dream,

A place where hearts find bliss.

I may never wear his uniform,

Nor carry his gun to win,

But I’ll grow the India he dreams of –

The India I still believe in.
