Voices of Freedom

Encaged in my heart,

hollowness of desire haunted-

leaving dreams to die.

But dreams didn’t die;

the breeze of freedom rushed in,

welcoming the will high.

I saw my liberty

in the eagle’s wings, freely gliding

in the liberal sky.

But gloom didn’t flee

to oblivion; unless the gleams

wished to come close by.

I removed all the

barriers of my heart, freeing

myself from cage’s cry.

Happiness grew wings of

freedom, and flew in the wide

and profound soul’s sky.
