India: From every breath to the last second of life

Hello

This is Dr Archana and I am sharing my thoughts on the theme ‘ The India I still believe in’.

Bharat, India, Hindustan, and many more names for our beloved country. Every child of the country feels pride in waking up with love, care, and encouragement from the family and from society. Indians are different, and India is full of love and humanity, where every religion is treated alike. We celebrate all the festivals that reflect our diversity, just like an ecosystem with all types of life ranging from microbes, algae, terrestrials, flora and fauna to arboreal. I like the seviya kheer as much as I like the halva. My heart is full of pride when I see the whole country united, standing together. India is like a bouquet full of flowers, from the cleanest state to the most literate one, from the city of temples to the island, from the seven sisters to Porbandar, from the city of Mahaprabhu to the temple of Maa Kali, from the bajans of Vrindavan to the ancient Balaji. We know about Ayurveda and yoga and are regarded as Gurus. Pages will run out and words will become invisible if I start penning down every bit of what we have and who we are.

India is stepping forward, and it is our duty and responsibility to walk together and make India shine bright with each Independence Day. Jai Hind, Jai Bharat. #IndependenceWritingContest2026
