Society During Renaissance Period

Refrain

It’s the Renaissance society

Where people had been into variety

Nobles and merchants were disdainful

Commoners’ life was painful

Stanza

Children were expected to be like adults

Enforced to work and so did they schult

Golden kids had love and free time

When there was a different clothing in the meantime.

Class system afflicted the house situation

One-room hut for poor farmers’ generation

With no running water or bathrooms

Bread and stew as their food unlike tycoons.

Peasants worked the land for the nobles

Labored from dawn to dusk so dull

Received protection and a parcel of land

Feudalism’s brutality did not reprimand.

Middle-aged threats from Barbarians lessened

People left for cities to run errands

Rich migrated to flee from plague

Commoners held to their fate though it’s vague.

Contributed to agriculture and cattle breeding

Acted as the backbone of their community

Youth learned skills to survive

And knowledge of medicines to stay alive.

Nobles looked for resourceful commoners

For aristocratic households as workers

Young folks leveraged these opportunities

Church as an avenue for commoners’ studies.

Lower class were limited to hold power

Starvation triggered them to soar

Black Death was their only savior

That ended Feudalism and freed them forever.

Though it eliminated a large population

Acted as proletarian elevation

Upgraded them to middle and upper classes

Hence negotiated with their employers.
