The Last Goodbye
I never knew the value of her existence;
Until she rushed off, leaving only her essence.
A paper slipped into my hands as I gazed at her,
And I realised we could never again be together.
I did’nt have the courage to open her letter.
No amount of tears made the situation better.
Even before I could process all the moments,
My heart pulsated with lament.
I had always seen her as a thorn in my life,
But her absence felt like being stabbed with a knife.
I read her last goodbye and turned to quiver,
With no adieu left to whisper.
