Ephemeral Obsessions

We chase them day and night,

A never-ending cycle, a constant sight.

We hold on tight to what we hold so dear,

But soon we realize, it all disappears.

Our passions are fleeting, a temporary flame,

A moment in time, that we cannot sustain.

We search for forever, in a world that’s so fast,

But all we can hold onto, is memories of the past.

We cling to our desires, like leaves to a tree,

But in the end, they fall, and we are set free.

The winds of change, they come and go,

And we are left with nothing, but the ebb and flow.

So let us cherish, each moment we share,

And hold on tight, to the ones who are near.

For in this fleeting world, love is what remains,

An eternal flame, that always sustains.

And as we journey, on this road so long,

Let us remember, what truly belongs.

For in the end, it’s not the things we’ve achieved,

But the people we’ve loved, and the moments we’ve lived.

So let us live, each day to the fullest,

And cherish the memories, that make us whole and true.

For in this world of ephemeral obsessions,

It’s love that endures, and always leaves a impression
