Monotonous

Same old, same old

Same routine, just a different day, still going slow

Same cereal, just a different bowl.

Same frugal spending. Just dough is getting low,

Same pasta sauce, but I just ate the last piece of dough from the loaf

Same city neighborhood, but we tip toe on our evening stroll in case the Corona flows when the wind blows

Same hate for the Cubs, just isn't the same without them, prayers up for Chicago

Same days, still thirsty on Thursdays but the bars closed

Same Southside, just Tuesdays there's no more tacos.

Same orange cones, non essential, still got the potholes on the roads.

Same mindstate, still going with the flow. Just today's flow is like Giannis, locked down in the Mil going for gold

Same lockdown. It's just different in a town that's cold

Same prayers, but can April, 2020 have no snow

Same Milwaukee, can we get some 40's and sun so we can throw on our shorts and grill brats on the patio

Same politician's preaching they care about climate change for a vote, just now the night sky has a beautiful glow

Same brain waves, just the monotonous days are giving us a new battle with our soul
