Melody of a fading light - ZorbaBooks

Melody of a fading light

A piano, lingerin’ with lost peace,

Its silence screams for a sweet release.

White keys rusted, black’ nightmare control,

Where every note mourns a tale of broken recital.

Each note yawns tears of twilight,

A requiem for the shattered insight.

This universe once sang with indulgence,

Now ecstasy is lost without a reminiscence.

A fleeting thrill, then came despair,

Like perfume fading from the air.

A toddler rolled through storms so shrill,

In chaos wrapped, like a funeral veil.

Entered a world where nights stretch wide,

And daylight frets the dark to bide.

Wandering deep in cursed suspense,

Hallucinated by cowardly sense.

A tragedy—oh Jesus Christ,

This soul’s been etched and coldly sliced!

A sunken grief you never chose,

A thorned regret that never goes.

A grief so vile it locks you tight,

A grief that murders sleep at night.

A grief that brands you out of place,

Despised by stars, erased from grace.

A numb piano throws one white note,

A spectral hymn your past rewrote.

A fate wasn’t yours, yet yours to bear,

And still you breathe that poisoned air.

Alas, you fuckin’ coward—look at you,

Still scared to face what’s truly true.

Yet in the dark, a spark remains,

A chance to wash away those stains.

At the end, you’re not the sin,

Your past is just a weight within.

A bitter ghost that haunts your parodies,

A fight you fled, a pain restrained.

But remember, buddy—hear me clear,

Though silence screams, the dawn draws near.

A dash of hope, a fist of flame,

Can burn the ropes of loss and shame.

A bit of guts, a brighter tone,

Adds light to skin that chills like stone.

And trust me now, those colours gleam,

Like rainbows born from shattered dreams.

A soul once trapped in paranoia now sings again,

With every scar, a gentle pain.

In crowds so cold, you glow, stand tall—

The happiest soul, after all.
