Smoke that mocks the clouds,

Smoke that smacks the lodging swift,

Smoke that slanders the sanctum sky.

 

Chimney has soot to lie.

Soot that soothes the silhouette,

Soot that daubs the prying crow,

Soot that suits the veiled night.

 

Chimney has aroma to belch.

Aroma that arms the curry,

Aroma that wafts to the weathercock,

Aroma that arouses the nascent dusk.
