Sammy’s Silly Socks - ZorbaBooks

Sammy’s Silly Socks

Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Sammy.

Sammy loved his socks—he loved them almost as much as he loved ice cream and dinosaurs!

He had stripy socks that looked like rainbows, polka-dot socks that looked like candy, and even socks with dinosaurs stomping across them.

Sammy’s socks came in all colours—red, green, blue, yellow, and purple too!

Some socks were soft and fluffy, some were short, and some were so long they reached his knees.

Every morning, Sammy opened his sock drawer and thought, “Which socks will make me smile today?”

One sunny morning, Sammy wanted to wear his favourite blue socks with tiny white stars.

He searched and searched.

He looked under his bed—no sock.

He peeked in the laundry basket—only old socks there.

He even looked inside his shoes, just in case—still no blue sock!

Sammy felt a little sad. He plopped down on his bed and wiggled his toes.

Just then, he heard a funny noise—woof woof!

It was Max, his playful puppy, trotting into the room with something blue in his mouth.

Max wagged his tail and dropped the blue sock right at Sammy’s feet!

Sammy laughed and gave Max a big hug. “Thank you, Max! You found my sock!”

With a happy heart, Sammy put on his blue socks, one on each foot.

They were soft and warm, just the way he liked.

Now Sammy was ready for the day!

He skipped and danced around his room, pretending to be a rocket ship, zooming to the stars.

He slid across the kitchen floor, giggling as his socks made him extra speedy.

Even when it was time to read stories, Sammy looked at his blue socks and smiled.

At the end of the day, Sammy took off his socks and put them safely in the laundry basket.

He gave Max a gentle pat and whispered, “Goodnight, silly socks. Goodnight, Max.”

Sammy climbed into bed, happy and warm, dreaming of new socks to wear tomorrow—and new adventures with his best friend, Max.

Because with socks, every day is silly and fun!
