Author’s note
When I started writing the book, I didn’t think I would be able to finish writing the story or its draft 1. I started writing the story last year and wanted to finish it within 9 months. But that would’ve been too sudden of an achievement for me. I could have finished it in 7 months or so, but that was very little time to write a short story (for me). I wanted my story to be something everyone can connect to (around the age of 6 – 16) and I wanted everyone to know they can also write stories (and maybe make a change in the world in that way). And hardly any are made by children for children to connect with the way they think or how they feel they are in their school years. So I wanted to write a story about a character in my mind I used to play with, who can connect with you or the younger you (if you are an adult). Now I am not saying everything is going to connect with you but just enjoy the story along the way. This character I’ve made is fictional and he has a mix of talents everyone has, but he has found his problem-solving passion. During the process of writing this book, I felt many emotions and mental blocks in the way I wrote the story. I had also felt that my story was not that good but I came around to it. The character is one of my favourite things about the story; the setting and plot all came with the character. He is my imaginary friend in my head and so I thought why not make him the character of my story then it took a huge turn after I started writing the story.
