Questionable
“In the shadows of my mind, a question always stays
Haunting every thought, in every way
Why hatred has taken over people’s mind?
Is love and kindness left far behind?
Fading like embers of a dying heart of mankind
Murders have been a piece of cake
Neither they think twice nor confront a mirror to ask
‘Is this my true self?’
Do they still see a soul when they look at their past?
But at the end of the day nothing gets justified,
Truth gets buried beneath the feet of richie minds
Goodness is fading away, it’s disheartening to believe
Crowning the devils to rule, and innocence to grieve
Are human minds that much fragile,
To get manipulated, and sacrifice their angel side?
Leaving only shadows where love once resided.
Innocence has became the laughing stock,
Selfishness competes to be the top.
I doubt the future world to get touched by purity, in this hellish era
I doubt the future generation to find real identity behind camera
I doubt the new world to see the rising sun of hope, warmth and happiness
I doubt the future generation to feel the moon who shines bright with confidence.
I doubt the future generation could see the stars to follow their dreams.
I doubt the future world to be evergreen.
I pity for being just a helpless human
Who could neither scream out these words Nor can change the world.
All these lingering doubts of mine
I am quite sure of this one line
‘Multiple poems like this would get stampede and burned
And one day the book of humankind will get unlearned.’
