The India I Still Believe In !

The India I still believe in

Not mere two days but everyday so,

Where people are devoted through,

To serve their nation with heart and soul,

Even if it costs them their life whole!

That’s what my friend, the India I still believe in!

There where, education not mere text,

Where curriculum blends with regional contexts,

Where everyone takes pride in their,

Heritage, wisdom and culture mere. 

That’s what my friend, the India I still believe in!

Where people run for money not,

Using their skills to tie the nation’s knot,

Where, every person gives their hand,

To spin the charkha of this land!

That’s what my friend, the India I still believe in!

Where fear is there but among them,

Who use corruption to polish their gem,

Where no one fears, to march in street,

And neither fears, to lose their heartbeat.

That’s what my friend, the India I still believe in!

Where youth of country is not quiet!

Where they ignite the Agni to enlight,

Enlight the lamp of country’s altar,

Ever-ready to fight even in war!

That’s what my friend, the India I still believe in!

Much not will I tell, but this,

That’s what is my supreme wish,

To see that India, breathing and live,

Where Indian ocean meet’s Himalaya’s light,

Where deserts of Rajputana meets Assam’s tea gardens bright,

Where soul of ours, is soul of hers,

Where nothing is ours but all hers.

Where India is not a land mere,

A civilization, a living soul here,

Where voice is heard vivid and loud,

The Hindustaan is not ashamed to be proud!

That’s what my friend, the India I still believe in…
