Windflower

You rest on the branch of the magnificent tree,

As you flirt with the gentle summer breeze.

The radiant yellow that you wear, is like a drop of sun,

A spectacle one would love to share with everyone.

As you concede to the wind's soft foreplay,

By dropping on the ground and lay.

The golden drops now make a beautiful bed,

For many birds and beings to rest.

Oh windflower!  You are a flower so dear,

In the harsh summer you bring so much cheer!
