The Smog of Your Greed

The Smog of Your Greed

My son, it was clear to see the blue sky, which now is covered clouds with thick and gray,

The smoke that from your greeds has streamed has stolen light away.

You breathe the air, which I provide, but you are hiding behind a paper mask,

However, you are the one who offers me to live this poison in the flask.

The birds that sang the morning song, are silent now with heavy grief got,

Nature is suffocated bit by bit, and the trees are left to rot.

My rivers, once a silver vein, run thick with oil and slime,

They cannot wash away the stain of this, your heavy crime.

Heat is raging deep down my belly, the calendar of the nature is upset by heart,

The rain falls with heavy blows, to cover the sky with dark.

I am sweating as the ice melts, a water drop of melting snow,

You suffer under the hot sun, but it is my pain you know.

So listen to my voice through the air, before the silence comes and calls,

Fix the bond that you have torn, among these earthen ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌walls.
