Fantasy is not always a flight from reality. At times, it is the sanctuary that sustains us until reality learns to become kinder.
Imagination is a gift. It nourishes the soul when reality falls short of its deepest longings. It enables us to create, to heal, and to believe in possibilities not yet visible. It transforms longing into hope, and hope into the courage to live. What begins as an unseen world within us often shapes the world we eventually build around us.
She had never felt truly drawn to any man. The prince in the abode of her imagination was not merely an imagined character. Reality had not gifted her a suitable partner, but she still had her desires, her longings, and her beliefs. Where reality was limited, imagination was boundless.
The prince was her friend, her husband, and her soulmate. She could crystallise every moment she shared with him through her creations. He never made her feel deprived or lonely. He uplifted her spirits.
At times, her imagination exhausted her, yet she always found herself becoming immersed once again in her dream abode. She had every right to love and to be loved.No one—not even fate—could deny her that right.
Human beings are often complicated, their fears, insecurities, and pretences diluting and polluting love. She no longer expected love from anybody. Instead, day by day, she grew happier, more confident, and more positive.
