God’s ways-Our ways
Geeta was an old lady regular in brisk walking with a bright smile. But she had experienced a life subject to many trials for the last many years which had often exhausted her and made her question God. Sometimes it seemed better if God opened the doors of heaven for her. Still she was alive and basked in the warmth of the golden sun. She sometimes wore a bright lipstick that made her look radiant.
She had experienced the ambiguities of fate- going in an expected direction with supposedly positive outcome but then suddenly some unexpected thing, often out of control popping up taking life towards a downward spiral. In spite of that the footsteps taken to move on each day , walking wearily or sometimes with hope have surprisedly contributed to development in spite of the deprivations and denials, often too strong or shocking. Of course our education, mindset and decision-making can go a long way to turn things in our favour or save us, but often certain things are out of control, or certain actions which we cannot go back and reprogram. She was very beautiful and talented and many have tried to harm or deprive her. Yet she had many achievements as well and still looked beautiful. Her life had made her deep dive into spirituality to gain insights to calm down the turbulence and confusions in her mind. She admitted that God is limitless-can give you limitless abundance or limitless trials. But God will always be on your side and never leave you like human beings. Even on dark days and after the deepest or most unexpected denials or hurts it is often surprising to observe with gratitude the presence of certain important blessings in life out of the bounds of human realm- which humans cannot deny or steal however hard they try. That is the magic. She wondered, human beings have cast their negative energy and created so many unprecedented obstacles, but somewhere God had also been there to fill her cup of tea as well.
Brata was going through a phase where it felt he was always at gunpoint. He expectantly moved forward with the clarity and expectation that he will slip into the red slipper he preferred more, but some uncontrolled force and circumstances would not let the finishing happen-disturb or ruin the finishing…. unexpectedly he would have to transition to the green slipper which he preferred less. This was going on with him, and so with her. The decisions, at first right seemed to go wrong in major areas. Sometimes it could not be reversed, sometimes again it was reversible thankfully! The outcomes were perplexing, the path often threatening and intriguing, yet even though she had scars, she was unscathed also in many ways. Yet there was progress, sometimes waves of joy out of a blue, sometimes there were reasons to rejoice and again the rejoicing felt out of context when it led to an unexpected shock. Even after that regaining composure after thinking of giving up and transitioning to the “Get-Set-Go” mood was like a gentle breath of fresh air amidst the raging winds.
Perfectionism and too much stress on it is the voice of the oppressor, it keeps one cramped to the surface-level only. Space should also be kept for some refreshing and careless deviations as well, because too much stress on perfectionism makes us overlook a lot of things in the long run, we cannot see the summation of factors that make up a wholesome whole with more practical implications. Imperfect finishing in spite of your best attempts and sincerest intentions may cause heartbreak but cause deviations into other paths that can be more rewarding and people who truly understand us embrace us with our perfections and imperfections, vocal about their own as well. God may not desire our life to be perfect always despite our best intentions but that does not make us shameful as many make us feel- they also carry or forcefully bury their own inadequacies or shames……………people who magnify others slips(fault or no fault, often giving a blessing the coat of a flaw) have many inadequacies which they hide and show off more with no humility. A true person will have humility and this person is the best to go with in the long run.
God’s ways, our ways………always a topic of reflection with so many perspectives……………………………
