The Grace of God

She was walking in the playground of her complex one winter afternoon wondering about certain ambiguities of life, some losses she had heard, come across. But while walking when the sun embraced her and she felt the warmth and strength, the strength of her feet touching the ground….felt her strong footsteps…..she gave gratitude to God for sustaining her, for helping her feeling the power of light dispelling all darkness.

Suddenly she saw Adrish, a cute little boy aged 4 or 5 who knew her very well. She loved him very much…he was sweet, cute, with a sweet naughty smile. He had different moods and ways of speaking ,his eyes seemed to dance and sparkle with his smile……he was one of the little children in the complex she really looked forward to meet and have a conversation.

He was balancing and trying to walk on a thin raised edge of the playground with much difficulty.

He said, “This is a very difficult way to walk. If you do not slip and walk till the end you are the winner. But however you try, sometimes you will be unable to maintain proper balance. Both your feet will touch the ground.”

She listened very attentively and suddenly she had a bulb-on-moment. In life we often try to walk carefully balancing ourselves, protecting ourselves from danger and evil, but sometimes with the best of intentions we do have slips…..often unexpected slips…….sometimes irreversible……we cannot go back and change ….we regret the slip……

The child was alone and said after sometime,“I have to go home.” His home was near the playground.

She said, “I will go along with you and drop you at your home.”

Adrish lovingly agreed.

His father was there. Adrish was delighted to have her come inside. He started showing her his favourite toys and playstuff. First he built a house with crayons. Next he came with a bag full of blocks and loaded the lap of her dress with all the blocks, one by one, saying, “See so that the blocks do not fall down.”

She smiled. She knew her lap had a certain physical capacity, but she was enjoying the feeling. His father told her one day to come in the evening for some chit-chat, tea or coffee. Adrish was delighted and she readily agreed. Both of them had to go out. She came out and again met them waving and smiling at her from their cycle.

Children are often messengers of God. She felt that the child wanted her to build her life anew with new building blocks and to take delight in the process. She felt a surge of joy in her soul and it seemed to her that new saplings were sprouting on the dry barren parts of the playground.

Jesus Christ is said to be a reviver, a restorer, a sustainer……the God of new beginnings, the God of miracles, the God who can make beauty spring from ashes and even the most ugly situations for those who have gratitude and firm faith in the Almighty whether in light or day………….the light of his divine strength overpowering enemies of different types……a Waymaker when there seems to be no way…….a healer.

She was infused with a rare joy with faith rising above fear. Christmas was coming…the birthday of Christ. She also got a Christmas gift to cheer her up…….promising a new beginning amidst all apprehensions.

She visited Adrish’s house few days after Christmas on a beautiful evening feeling happy and blessed. She from the bottom of her heart prayed to God to bless the child and his family.

She understood one thing……there may be enemies trying to delay your progress, discourage you, lead you to frustration so that you give up…….affect your decision making ability, cause some slips…….but if you have not meant any harm and firmly instill your belief in God to uplift your strength, with his divine power you can be an Overcomer. The more powerful the light is, the more darkness is repelled. Belief in God generates this light in you, and deep faith further makes it more powerful ……only if you promise not to give up and propel yourself forward……..even amidst storms…….

In our life we often fail to count our blessings…..we blame God…..even on our bad days we forget to acknowledge the blessings we receive or the blessings we have already received……but if you do…you will see God generates more blessings…..in a life nobody can have everything, every phase hundred per cent perfect or fulfilled…..there is nobody like that on this planet….,.but that does not mean that everything is sad or we are deprived. If we are deprived with something, we are often blessed with something to compensate for that. Sometimes more patience is required may be and gratitude empowers us in such phases. But it is always good to stick to the right path which is difficult, but brings long-term gains. She felt blessed and happy and was ready to attract more blessings. She understood her strength coupled with divine strength was far above than enemies. So you should never say quit, never give up……however challenging it is….. then only you can see a magic enfold….and I feel that we should never hurt anybody on their weak point(which we think as weak point) or what they do not have or belittle anybody…. this is something we all should refrain from…….or get jealous…………..in an age of mounting jealousy, people not giving due credit of goodness and emerging number of fraudsters…..creating a lot of darkness……..it is better to be on the path of light. New life also emerges from wreckages…………
