Happiness Lies within Me

You can’t pull me down 
I screamed to the pain
roaring inside this
pumping piece of meat,
the wound isn’t brighter
than the light within 
my soul;
toiled, oppressed, hurt 
yet determined.
Battling with bleeding
emotions, 
helped me muster
the courage, to 
Rise like the Phoenix 
and Shine like the Sun
because I know 
Happiness lies within Me.
