MADE FOR EACH OTHER
“What’s that?”
“It’s a gift for you.”
Jahnvi opened that packet; a Nikon DSLR Camera. She surprised; Aryan didn’t have such a habit ever since in her memory.
“WOW… I can’t believe.”
Jahnvi had an interest in photography along with her paintings. Aryan noticed that while they were together. Even in an evening walk or in a shopping; any interesting things in front of her, she must catch them with her mobile camera. Always Aryan would be upset about it. He didn’t like that. Even though he admired her as a good photographer.
“What is the theme of your photography contest?”
“Made for Each Other.”
“Then it’s easy; send one of our selfies.”
“Then I will get the first prize.”
“If you have a doubt; you have to find out two subjects for your work.”
On that evening Jahnvi visited her grandmom; she had around eighty years old. She was almost alone at home; one caretaker would be there but she hadn’t a good relationship with that lady. So Jahnvi visited her two or three days a week.
After asking some questions about her health, Jahnvi picked up her phone; somebody calling her from office. While talking she walked around the home, she saw their garden was ruined. No one was caring for those plants.
She paused on one flowering plant; once those were mom’s favorite flower. Her aunt stole that plant from a hill station during her college study tour. Both of them take care of that plant very well and on those days, that yellow flowers were the landmark of that house.
On the memory of her mother, Jahnvi’s eyes were filled with tears. While moving back she saw two small flowers. She took her new camera and made the first click.
“Aryan, See it.”
“What a beautiful click?”
“What’s the name of this flower?”
“Black-eyed Susan vine.
“I am sending this to the competition.”
“That’s a good choice.”
“They are not simple flowers; they are the memoir of my mom and her sister. They were the best sisters; I had ever seen in my life. They were made for each other.”
