The heart of ice
We all wear a mask to hide our pain,
And pretend to be good, but we’re vain.
We put on a show to hide our flaws,
And conceal the darkness that we cause.
We all wear a mask to show love and care,
But deep inside, we don’t, we just pretend to share,
We are opposite of what we seem,
A facade of kindness, but a heart that’s numb
and gleam.”
We all wear a mask of sweetness and kindness,
A loving heart, a gentle mind,
But deep inside, a truth we hide,
We don’t care, we are cold inside.
We all wear a mask of happy face,
But inside, a painful, empty space.
Depression hides with a silent sigh,
A heavy heart, that wonders why.
“we all wear a mask to fake a gentle soul,
To pretend to care, to make relationships whole,
But deep inside, we felt empty and alone,
We didn’t want anyone, we just wanted to roam.
