Love never leaves

Even after you have left,
That I felt for you has not.
Even if I have moved on,
they stick around me
lifeless and cold.
Like snow sticks around a rocky mountain.
They don't let me feel any love or hate;
neither indifference.
I fail to understand if they protect me
or I am already dead.
Only when you come back
not to stay.
But to touch me like the river water touches the foothills.
The coldness around starts melting into you;
I fail to understand,
if I am coming back to life
Or losing myself into you again
