The Brave Girl
Once upon a time in a small village nestled between green hills, there lived a little girl named Meera. She was just ten years old but had the heart of a lion. Meera loved reading books about adventure and dreams of doing something great one day.
Every morning, she would help her mother in the kitchen, feed the chickens, and then walk to school with a big smile on her face. She was kind, smart, and always ready to help others. But one day, something unusual happened.
A huge storm hit the village. Trees fell, roads were blocked, and the river near Meera’s house started to rise dangerously. The villagers were scared. That night, the news spread that a puppy had been left behind near the riverbank.
Everyone was afraid to go, but Meera couldn’t bear the thought of the little puppy all alone. Without telling anyone, she put on her raincoat, took a flashlight, and walked out into the storm. The rain hit her face like little stones, and the wind howled like a wild animal, but Meera didn’t stop.
She reached the riverbank and heard the puppy crying. It was stuck under a fallen branch. Meera gently lifted the branch, wrapped the puppy in her scarf, and slowly walked back home.
When she returned, wet and cold but smiling, the whole village gathered. They were amazed by her bravery. From that day on, Meera was known as the brave girl who didn’t wait for others to act—she led with love and courage.
And though she was just a little girl, she showed that even the smallest hearts can do the biggest things.
