From the window of luxury Car
Namaskar
With a fast-paced life, starting from the phone alarm to resting the same at night, the cycle goes on. During the course of the day, when we sit for a chai or coffee or a mee time, that feels like a reward.
I also follow the same but try to live and enjoy life in between. I ride while going to office; there are a lot of challenges consisting of traffic lights, damaged roads, rash drivers, and the quest to reach the office on time. Everybody is in the race and wants to finish on time. I cross the underpass of Sector 62 in Noida. There is a lot of traffic on the side, and it takes 5-10 minutes to cross the area. At that time, there is a fight between patience and the anger arising from waiting on the road. I can see people suffering from this feeling.
The one thing that broke my heart a bit was the behaviour of one of the car owners going on the same route. On the side of the National Highway, there reside poor people with their assembled homes. Men, women, and children are seen sitting there near the park area on the pathway. I saw one luxury car moving in front of me, and when it took a turn, the person riding the car bent over the car window and threw something wrapped in paper. The paper, along with what was inside it fell on the side of the road, and the car owner rode away. I looked back in my sooty mirror and saw some children running fast to get that paper.
Then I understood, it may be some type of food that was just thrown away as a good gesture (myth for those types of people) from that luxury car owner. He had given them food……food wrapped in paper and thrown from the window. For those poor children, that was indeed important in their lives. But treating them below respect don’t make you a good person. What would it have taken to just slow down the car and hand over the food to them? Even the animals are not treated like that.
A small request from my side. You need to deliver everything with respect, whether it is food, time, or anything. Have a good day, and hope the small act will make the world a better place.:)
