Travel diaries~Shangarh

The moment when you arrive at the station with your luggage, excited and at the same time leaving your worries and thoughts behind, embarking on the journey ahead. A break is all you need. To rewind, unwind, and just let go.

The drive might be uncomfortable, but once you enter Himachal, the view is worthwhile. I was lost in this dreamland… the moonlight touching the trees softly. A purity that words could not define. My eyes wanted to soak in the mountains forever, like an unforgettable blissful memory close to my heart. I wanted to lose myself in this night.

I woke up to the beautiful view of flowers and valleys, of farms and sunshine. The sweet melody of birds chirping, the simple life of farmers planting seeds, sheep eating grass, while a sweet cow lay watching the sky.

I looked at the mountain tops, feeling close to God and to purer forms of life. Fresh, pure oxygen which city life cannot afford. This is the rich life, I thought to myself, wholesome. Pure. Complete ecstasy. The sun touched my skin gently, making me wish this moment would never end.

Water gushing through the falls made you understand the beauty of life. The pure form of water made you fear it less. Every form showed the creation of God behind every curve of a leaf, gentle rain, forming clouds, sweet birds, and animals of this kingdom. God’s kingdom.
