Bound by an Invisible Thread

Even today, I searched the dark, for that one rainy night,

Even today, I wake up to find, that sleepless, long twilight.

Even today, my hands still trace, that bed where blossoms lay,

While looking toward your last address, a world so far away.

I saw you where the village meets,Beside the ancient well,

A vision in the quiet streets,A sweet, enchanting spell.

A graceful pitcher in your hand,The rain fell from above,

In water-soaked attire you stand,A picture of pure love.

Beside the window of my heart, I stand and search the skies,

And look for you when monsoon rain and stormy nights arise.

Beneath the silver moon, your glance of honey, sweet and deep,

Feels like a million springtimes waking up a world asleep.

The dream that lingered on my eyelids’ crest,

Woke with new hope to pierce the midnight rest.

And like the thoughts that through my spirit gleam,

My heart forsook its sleep, to chase your blue-eyed dream.

First, you came to steal my away sleep,

Then took the heart I could no longer keep.

Who knows where through the midnight hour you flew,

My songbird soul, that vanished into you.

Deep in the night, I drift into a trance,

Searching the dark to find your single glance.

My golden girl, so innocent and bright,

An angel fallen from the heavenly light.

O heavenly angel, when you pass me by,

My captive heart begins to soar and fly

—Swept far away in wild, ecstatic bounds,

By your sweet anklets’ soft, melodic sounds.

My drifting soul takes flight and soars above,

Caught in the spring tide of your sudden love.

My heart is swept across the boundless skies,

As April’s gentle breezes start to rise.

To grace your brow with crimson lines of grace,

I make a pledge with spring’s eternal embrace.

With crimson dye to paint your gentle feet,

I’ll crown you queen, to make my world complete.

If you are written in my fate, I cannot see,

Who truly knows what destiny decrees?

Yet every glimpse of you is pure delight,

A sudden spark that steals my heart from sight.

I am the bee that seeks your sacred bower,

And you, the monsoon queen who wakes the flower.

To weave a blossom in your braided hair,

And hold you locked within my heart’s deep care.

Where spring lies hidden in the silver moon,

The seeking bee still chases April’s tune.

Why hide the spring within your silent heart,

Yet send love’s whispers from a world apart?

Speak but once, and break this quiet spell,

Why does this love feel more than words can tell?In truth, I know not why my spirits soar,

And even my silent heart can guess no more.

The day your love first brushed against my soul,

A song was born to make my spirit whole.

And as I wake from fleeting turns of sleep,

It is your melody my thoughts still keep.

In form, you are a vision, pure and bright,

With sapphire eyes that hold my guiding light.

My celestial nymph, unmatched in mortal grace,

Whose web of magic holds my heart’s embrace.

The rain-drenched fragrance of your drifting veil,

Enchant my soul through midnight’s quiet pale.

You stepped into my dream with such soft grace,

My stolen sleep was lost in love’s embrace.

To learn the language of your hidden mind,

Through countless volumes I have sought to find.

And just to send a phrase of love to thee,

I searched the world for ink of ivory.

Your slender waist moves like a river’s stream,

Your eyes, a rolling wave inside a dream.

O moon-faced girl, in the bloom of sweet sixteen,

The finest wine that eyes have ever seen.

Like wild nectar, your heady beauty flows,

And fills my soul with thirst that only grows.

I whispered to the monsoon rain to bring,

A heady shower of the forest spring.

To drench my lover’s lips in silver mist,

And wake the passion where the skies have kissed.

Love at first sight is how it all begins,

And so it was when my eyes first met yours.

The moment your soul stole my heart away,

Melodies of love began to echo deep within.

Your gaze holds a captivating grace,

Your youth leaves me utterly spellbound.

Gleaming beneath the morning sun,

Your vibrant essence overflows like sweet nectar.

The earth itself shrinks back in shame,

Whispering softly to praise your name.

It bows to a beauty so divine,

And yields its greatest charms to thine.

Draped in a veil of crimson flame,

You walk to fetch the water stream.

How many hearts are left spellbound?

Only you know that secret dream.

Your petite eyes of deep surprise,

Your hair in curly waves that rise.

With jasmine woven in your hair,

You drug my soul beyond compare.

The fear of this sweet dream will soon fade,

Oh time, stand still, let hours delay.

I hoard the memories of my love,

Oh time, stand still, freeze yesterday.
