A Poetic Talk
CHILD AND PEACOCK
(A Poetic Talk)
……………..
Child to Peacock:
Peacock… Peacock! What a beautiful sight you are!
Peacock to Child:
Dear child…! You are also beautiful to see!
Child to Peacock:
My dear Peacock! Your beautiful blue feathers are not only beautiful but also delightful to my heart!
Peacock to Child:
My dear girl! Your colourful skirt is also beautiful, as glancingly bright as a butterfly!
Child to Peacock:
Dear friend! Your feathers displaying their dance are amazing to watch, and they touch my tender heart!
Peacock to Child:
My dear little friend! Will you dance like me?
Child to Peacock:
My mother has trained me to dance, and I can perhaps perform with gentle movements and steps!
Tell me, dear! Who trained you to perform this natural feather-dance?
Peacock to Child:
Natural instinct is our dance guru (master)!
Child to Peacock:
Dear…! Will you train me in your fascinating feather-dance as a dance master?
Peacock to Child:
(with a mild smile…) How can I, dear? But skilled dance masters among you can recreate the peacock dance (Mayura Nritham) in a wonderful way!
Child to Peacock:
Dear Peacock! What instincts fill your heart with such warm emotions that you perform your dance when you see the rainbow in the sky?
Peacock to Child:
The blossomed rainbow in the sky fills our hearts with joy, and we begin to dance in pleasure!
Child to Peacock:
Dear Peacock! Your beautiful complexion, with wonderful blue feathers and naturally cultured dance, is excellent and extraordinary to our eyes!
Peacock to Child:
All are the gifts and grace showered upon us by the world dramatist… the Universal Power!
