POEM
BELLY
(A Humorous Poem)
Belly is the organ that inspires us to live on.
Belly rings a bell when it feels hunger.
Belly sleeps well after meals.
A full belly drums with joy and dreams of tomorrow.
A full belly doesn’t believe in hunger.
Belly doesn’t tolerate starvation.
Belly always wants to be a superstar!
Belly contempts gas trouble and consumes medicines to drive it away.
A pot belly is a surplus for some bully men.
Belly dancing is a surprise for some chilly women.
A full belly tells jokes and laughs at others.
An empty belly tells stories of starvation and weeps,
while looking at others
begging for food.
A full belly always shows its eagerness to eat and its pride in itself.
Belly brings both gladness and sadness.
Belly is both our friend and foe.
A healthy belly gives us sweet memories,
but a dehydrated belly brings tormenting pain.
We keep filling our bellies and live for our bellies!
