POEM
HANDSOME
(A Comic Poem)
(Own claims and blames of a man)
“Handsome… handsome…
I am handsome…!
Those who have some sum in hand
mock at me,
as I lack some sum in hand.
Some say that they are handsome,
as they hold some sum in hand.
Then I keep mum before them,
as I am slim,
without some sum in hand.
I think myself that I am handsome,
even without some sum in hand.
Those who have some sum in hand
show their whim upon me
to disturb my calm.
Firm and calm, I rest in Nature’s bliss;
She finds me handsome
and warmly invites me
to her beautiful lap.
Who would trim the extravagant criteria
of some sum in hand,
to become handsome among those
who hold some sum in their hands…?
Friends…!
Do you think that I am handsome
or otherwise…?”
