A New Blossom of Hope
It was a gloomy evening in the prairie. Skye gazed at the window in solitude. She was waiting for the mare to arrive from healthcare unit. The healthcare had informed her about the wild spirit of the mare. They asked her not to trouble the mare, not to corner it and asked her to allow it for choosing a person it really trusts. Mom had consoled her by bringing a tray of buttered sugar sandwiches, hoping to lighten the mood. Skye had picked up one and woffled it gloomily. The Sun slowy began to set in the horizon. To her joy, she heard a loud calling whinny in the distant prairie. She was filled with new hope. She dashed out of her room and hurried to the hallway. Mom smiled as she excitedly ran out of the hallway. Skye was running the fastest pace of her life on the grass. After jogging a few kilometers, she saw a graceful black shadow in the horizon. It was the mare! The mare galloped toward her at incredible speed after a speedy recovery and seemed to recognise her. Skye gently stopped it and threw her arms around its neck. “I missed you.” she soflty whispered. The mare seemed to understand the concern and gave out a soft whinny in reply.
