My Heart in a Red Box
My Heart in a Red Box
You have garlanded my body in sweet
Embrace, though my heart is not
There in her right place; I am carrying
It in a red-coloured box tied with a white
Ribbon with my delicate hands; grab
It if you can, inside your palm closet ;
I have kept my heart in safe custody,
And nobody can steal it without
My sweet will; I am still waiting for
My Charming Prince, and I can hear
His footfall from an invisible distance;
Face me in your eyes, my eternal beau!
Let me see my destiny ‘s countenance in
Broad daylight; Before I submerge into
The sea of divine pleasure, I want to
Feel the fragrance of love in abundance!
