Ain't Giving Up - ZorbaBooks

Ain’t Giving Up

Ain’t Giving Up

Dousing in thoughts, my eyeballs stare,

At my devoid self which stands there,

In the haze of ideation; being spellbound,

Figuring out how to rebound.

My inner monologue hollers, “You’re invincible!”

But my scar speaks, “I’m not rinsable.”

Optics welled up, dashing down my cheek

I question my spirit, “Why are you so weak?”

Renouncing from the powers of recall,

My soul unravels the thread of downfall;

Thrusting my trepidation, it crawls into my heart,

Notifying me to trust and restart.

Snapping back to my conscious stream,

I shake off the dust that covers my gleam.

Looking at my life that awaits to give trouble,

I dare to assure myself “I’m unshakable!”
