Whispers of Summer - ZorbaBooks

Whispers of Summer

The leaves rustle,

A breeze,

Bringing with it a wave of warmth.

A quiet morning,

An empty park,

The vacations have just started.

A walk around the tress

Lush leaves,

The squirrels chasing up and down the bark,

An irregular path,

Excitement rippling through the ground.

The Anticipation of what’s to come,

The mangoes ripening,

The jackfruit’s sweetness.

Mouth watering,

The patience waning off,

Restless energy,

As the sun reaches high up.

Sip of every water drop,

A blessing in disguise.

Pausing to cherish each moment.

The windows remain open,

Waiting for the breeze,

To bring its wave of warmth.

Soon it will be raining,

Children and parents hurrying,

To school and work.

A new season,

The same cycle.

Biding time for next summer after all.
