NARCISSIST; WHO?

In the mid day of the rainy day, the whole class was busy gossiping in the leisure period. The whole class was dark due to the clouds crashing to form drizzling. Windows clashing with the sounds of the thunderstorm. We (our gang of friends) were stating our silly incidents with each other. Each of the statements used to end with chocking laughter. Tired of eating chocolates and candy, still many there to finish.

“Let’s take the rest of it to home.”– I suggested

“No way!!” one of my friend shouted “If I take to my home, my sister will eat all. Better I’ll finish all here.”

“But we have already eaten many so what if she even eats?”

“No she doesn’t share any thing with me. why should I then?”

I wasn’t surprised of hearing this from her but was surprised to see my other friends agreeing to her statement.

*My sister once got an eclairs chocolate on one of her

friend’s birthday. She kept that in her bag till her class

ends. She rushed to the home with excitement carrying

that chocolate. “Salony!!” she screamed with joy “I have

bought us a chocolate. Let’s eat it together.” The little me

hoped with joy. My mother asked her “Its such a tiny candy

you could have eat that by yourself. We could have bring

another chocolate for your little sis.”…………..

“No!” my sister retorted “whatever or how much you give, will

always be shared by us.”*

I smiled with the memory. “So your sister is such?” I asked. When another voice of another friend came up “What do you mean by her sister? Everyone’s sister is such. Mine doesn’t gives her any accessories or her belongings to me for even once.”—–“Yes! very true”– everyone agreed.

*Once we were at a mall to bring us new dresses. The shopkeeper

put on plenty dresses on the desk. ”This one!” we both shouted

at the same time dragging one particular dress. She looked at my

exciting face towards that dress. Immediately she took her hands

on to other dress. “I mean this one” she reverted. ”But you were

in this same dress before.” -I claimed. “No no, I was holding that

for you only.”- she smiled. (Older me realized she was again

sacrificing her choice for mine). “But I don’t have a matching hair

band to this. Can I take yours?” I asked her with a confusing face.

“Do you even need to ask? There’s nothing called as mine or yours,

everything is ours.”*

I sighed with the memory. With a smirk I looked at them knowing my sister is totally different from their explanation. Knowing I live in a way they can ever expect. Then another friend kept her words–“Just this? my sister feels jealous if I ever look prettier than her.”………

*On every function we ever attend together, she rushes to me to do my

make over. With every attention she does every tint on my face to make

me look pretty. She spends her hours just to make sure I look perfectly

gorgeous. My outfits, hairstyle, shoes and everything chosen by her.

Even after knowing that she will get only few minutes to do hers.

Without thinking, she spares her hours in me while some few minutes

for herself. Even if she looks the most beautiful naturally, she

compliments me like I’m the living angel in her life.”*

I asked them with a little more confusion--”Does really all of your elder sisters are such?”

”Of course!!” they replied “What to think about it? All elder sisters are narcissists. They only think about herself. They want themselves to shine over us.”

Narcissist? Every time I wished for something, she saves all of her money to gift me that. She ensures my face never fades the smile. She gathers her stars of efforts to give me a galaxy of love. She gathers her books of pains to give me a library of relief. She gathers her drops of sacrifices to give me an ocean of dreams. Every time I achieved something, She clapped so hard that I couldn’t notice who didn’t.

I thought I am lucky when I heard each of their stories with their sisters. But then I realized I am luckiest when I saw everyone agreeing to this. God has definitely blessed me with the best!
