The Old Woman and the Magic Threads

In a peaceful village filled with colorful houses and blooming gardens, there lived an old woman named Amma Tara. Her hair was silver like moonlight, and her hands were wrinkled from years of hard work. But her eyes still sparkled with kindness.

Amma Tara was known for one special gift—she could weave the most beautiful clothes anyone had ever seen. Her sarees were soft like clouds, with patterns that looked like flowers, stars, and rivers. But she didn’t sell them for money. Instead, she gave them to people who truly needed them.

One day, a poor girl named Meena came to Amma Tara’s doorstep, shivering in torn clothes. Without a word, Amma Tara took her inside, gave her warm soup, and began to weave.

As she wove, Meena noticed something strange—the thread shone like gold and silver in the sunlight. “Is this magic?” Meena whispered.

Amma Tara smiled gently. “These threads are made of love, patience, and hope. That is the best kind of magic.”

She handed Meena a beautiful shawl, soft and glowing. “Wear this, and remember—you are strong, you are special.”

Soon, more people came. A sad boy who had lost his father. A mother with a sick child. A lonely old man. And for each of them, Amma Tara wove something special. Her tiny house was filled with laughter, stories, and the soft sound of weaving.

One morning, Amma Tara was gone. But her loom was still there, and so were the threads.

Years later, Meena, now grown up, taught children how to weave—not just cloth, but kindness.
