In shards of dreams, I search for you

A love that once was, now feels untrue.

Your words, a whispered promise sweet that day

Left me with tears, and a heart that beats.

With every step, I feel the pain

Of trust betrayed, and love in vain.

I question why, you showed me the way

Only to leave, and seize the day.

Your love, a fleeting dream, it seems

A moment’s peace, a lifetime’s screams.

I’m left to pick, the pieces of my heart

And wonder why, we had to part.

But till then, I’ll hold on to the pain

And hope that someday, you will understand my vein.
