Unspoken Words
Life felt like a routine,
That followed around each day,
Life had it all,
The good times and the bad,
Still something was amiss.
Human connections didn’t feel so real,
Something always seemed to bother,
Guess, social awkwardness is to blame.
One day something caught the eye,
A poster about pet adoption,
Love for four legged friends had been instant always,
But being a pet parent came with a lot of responsibility.
Taking that step turned life’s course around,
Now a four legged friend waits at home,
His wagging tail and unconditional love,
Speak much more than spoken words.
