If I had my way
If I had my way
I would have asked the sun
to borrow some cool rays
from the bashful moon
and give relief to those
who walk barefoot on hot summer days
If I had my way
I would have asked the blue sky
to come down
and take away
the clouds of despair
If I had my way
I would have asked the wind
to blow away
all the grief and greed
and fill up every heart
with love
and eyes full of dreams
