Description

Whispers of Dying Leaves is a soulful poetry collection that leads readers through the intimate landscapes of human emotion—shadows of suffering, fragile memories, inner awakening and the quiet presence of nature watching over it all. Each poem becomes a gentle mirror, reflecting survival and solitude, longing and release, and the subtle turning of the soul from darkness towards light.

Moving through these pages, you walk raw terrains of pain and resilience, where words pulse with the music of inner reflection and silence holds its own language. Under vast skies and changing seasons, the poems rise slowly from the depths of fracture and loss to touch luminous thresholds of hope, healing and renewal.

At its heart, this collection reminds us that beneath every story of brokenness lies an enduring connection—to ourselves, to one another and to nature’s ceaseless cycle of death and rebirth. Voices emerge that are both fragile and fierce, shadows recede as dawn approaches and a quiet flame of courage keeps burning, even in the longest night.

Interwoven within the book is a cycle of haikuSoliloquy of Seasons, where wind, water, light and falling leaves echo the ebb and flow of human emotion. Moments of stillness and transience unfold like a visual raga—time passing softly, leaving behind reflections, aftertastes of memory and a tender sense of impermanence.

Perfect for poetry lovers across India who cherish reflective, nature-infused and emotionally honest verse, Whispers of Dying Leaves offers:

  • Meditative poems on pain, solitude, survival and quiet strength.

  • Lyrical nature imagery that mirrors inner seasons of the heart.

  • A gentle invitation to pause, listen within and rediscover hope.

May these poems offer solace on difficult days, inspire courage in uncertain times and awaken your own sense of wonder as you listen to the soft, enduring music of life in every falling leaf.

About the author

Arvind Kapoor’s journey began in the structured world of banking, soon after he stepped into his M.Sc. (Chemistry), where quiet dreams had to find space alongside practical realities. Seeking to bridge the distance between imagination and everyday life, he went on to pursue M.A., LL.B. (Part I) and a diploma in Russian, all while a gentle restlessness kept nudging him towards exploration and self-discovery.

For Arvind, nature became both refuge and mirror—autumn leaves drifting freely, a still pond rippling with every fallen leaf—reflecting his own wandering spirit and changing inner seasons. Frequent transfers and new postings in the banking world opened doors to diverse landscapes and human stories, broadening his way of seeing and deepening his sensitivity to the unspoken.

Languages such as Urdu, Sindhi, Tamil and Bengali turned into close companions, enriching his ear for rhythm, nuance and silence between words. Art and writing slowly evolved into vessels for his inner world, allowing feelings, questions and reflections to take lyrical form.

A traveler in both life and thought, Arvind continues to seek meaning in movement and quiet understanding in life’s unfolding rhythm. On X (Twitter), he writes as Soliloquy, sharing brief, contemplative reflections that echo the meditative spirit of his poetry.

He has previously published two Hindi poetry collections—Kitne Pratibimb (कितने प्रतिबिंब) and Man Chanchal Chanchal (मन चंचल चंचल)—and with Whispers of Dying Leaves, he brings poetry lovers an intimate, contemplative collection that listens deeply to suffering, silence and the healing touch of nature.
