Audacity of Hope - ZorbaBooks

Audacity of Hope

Spotted a venturous child,

Who was rebuked so wild.

She was adjoined by beast,

Where no one could have a feast.

Having a scanty life,

She was brought to bay by knife.

Shoved to the brink of death,

She wrestled to retain her breath.

Hope stroke her head,

And aroused her to move ahead.

Bleaching her past,

She shook out from the stormy blast.

Grown more audacious than she was,

And reaped a round of applause.

Firmness of purpose pulled her alive.

Impudent spirit entitled her to survive.
