After the Rain’s Embrace

After the rain, when the sun shines from behind the clouds,

Somehow, it seems brighter than before,

The grass is greener than before,

The roads are smoother than before,

The birds are more active than before, the world more still, more resilient, more meaningful;

I still feel the aroma of the earth,

Still see the trees swaying,

Feel the winds blowing,

Suddenly, the surroundings are full of life force,

The things normally blended into the background of life, a mere setup for us to pass by while we are busy in our own problems,

Today, in the after-rain sunshine, they are clearer than ever, their beauty fully risen and shining.
