Hollywood’s Deception – Episode 1
(California’s shining sunlight near the iconic Hollywood sign. Anna and Lila, two Swedish women, sit on a bench, their faces caught between hope and despair.)
Anna: (Gazing at the sky) Lila, this sunlight is so bright, yet our lives feel so dim.
Lila: (Sighing) Maybe this bright sun is mocking our dreams, Anna. We left our homeland thinking Hollywood would embrace us, but reality is bitter.
Anna: (In a despondent tone) Weeks have passed since we arrived, but no job, no opportunity. Every place says, “We’ll get back to you,” and then silence.
Lila: (Laughing bitterly) “Get back to us”? That might happen when we’re starving to death.
Anna: (Holding her hand) Lila, we can’t give up. Our destiny is somewhere here.
Lila: (Turning her face away) It’s not easy to hold onto hope when your pockets are empty, and your stomach is growling.
(Nighttime. Anna and Lila huddle under a tree in a park. The cold wind blows around them.)
Anna: (Adjusting the edge of a blanket) Lila, do you remember those days when we dreamed on Stockholm’s streets?
Lila: (Smiling) Yes, and we thought Hollywood would be a magical land for us.
Anna: (With a sorrowful tone) A magical land? It turned out to be a mirage.
Lila: (Sighing) But I’ve heard, if the right time and chance come your way here, your fate can change.
Anna: (Encouragingly) Yes, and we’ll create that time and opportunity.
(Morning. In the park, Rex, a famous film producer, jogs by. He notices Anna and Lila still sitting under the tree.)
Rex: (Stopping, with empathy) Excuse me, what are you two doing here?
Anna: (Startled) Us? We’re… just waiting for our fate.
Lila: (With a sarcastic smile) Which seems to have lost its way to us.
Rex: (Smiling) You’re Swedish, right?
Anna: (Nodding) Yes, from Stockholm.
Rex: (Curious) And in Hollywood?
Lila: (With frustration) Came with big dreams, but here it’s no easier to turn them into reality.
Rex: (Thoughtfully) Maybe I can help. If you don’t mind, come with me. I’d like to hear your story.
Anna: (Hesitantly) Why would you help us?
Rex: (Smiling) Because I was once like you.
(Rex’s lavish, palace-like house. Anna and Lila sit at the dining table as Rex prepares breakfast for them.)
Rex: (Serving breakfast) So, tell me, how did you make it this far?
Anna: (Answering) We left everything behind. We believed we could do something extraordinary.
Lila: (Adding) But here, every door was shut, and now we’re just fighting to survive.
Rex: (In deep thought) There’s something special about both of you. Perhaps you just need some guidance.
Anna: (Hopeful) What do you mean?
Rex: (Smiling) Training. To show the world that you truly are special.
(The episode ends as Rex outlines a new journey for Anna and Lila.)
