35 years of corporate cubicles, cafeterias, and cabins… Ravi Kodukula has the authority and audacity to write about everything he saw unfold just an arm’s length away. Many of these stories are oft-heard, oft-repeated, and enacted by countless actors across different corporates. Perhaps many of us may have been players in these plots ourselves.
That said, these stories could not have been told through the cornea of the cabin because of corporate correctness… but could only be crunched from the comfort of the couch after the proverbial retirement.
Ravi lives in Navi Mumbai with his one wife and two Gen Zers in their 20s, who are formidable players in the plot of his life… and a constant source of perspiration for all the drama and trauma on his cosy couch. Add to that all the past monkeys on his shoulder from the days in his corporate cabin… and we have a convincing account of unpretentious stories laced with punchy humour… at times bordering on sardonic satire.
“My dream is to die like Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam” … and other stories. One story at a time. And you have every right to start from the back… turn to the beginning… and end anywhere in the middle.
