India was one of the first issuer of coins, as a result it has seen a wide range of currency units throughout its history. This book is an inspiring tale of how currency developed through the ages. The currency that we use today is a result of thousands of years of development, traditions, rise and fall of empires and development of science, to bring out currency in it’s present form. About the Author
Dr P.S.Sindhu retired as Associate Professor in Physical Chemistry from Hans Raj College, Delhi University, Delhi. He adopted teaching as a career in 1969 and taught in this college for 41 years. He was adjudged as one of the best chemistry teacher in the University. He has published 21 books on molecular spectroscopy, physical chemistry , environmental chemistry and many research papers. He is also the founder President of VATAVARAN, an NGO, which has been working for pollution free environment for the last 30 years.
