About the Author
Kalyani Majumdar is an acclaimed author, feature writer, photo-essayist, and heritologist with published works in leading magazines and newspapers. She covers architecture, art, culture, and urban issues in outlets like The Free Press Journal, India Today, Domus (Indian and Italian editions), Marwar, and others. Her articles have been translated into French and Italian. She authored The Peepal, The Girl, and The City for GVK-MIAL, and previously served as Senior Assistant Editor at Domus India and as an Art Researcher at the Delhi Art Gallery (DAG).
As a creative visualiser with a vivid imagination, she often enjoys creating art, illustrations, and logos.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Conservation and Heritage Management and is a nature enthusiast. She has worked in cultural and natural heritage projects in the High Himalayas by establishing rural Interpretation centres.
She organises book-reading sessions for children and adults alike and enjoys sharing the art of storytelling.
