About the Author

Dr Mithra T has written poems and short stories in Malayalam. Her debut collection of poems in English is entitled The Symbol, published in 2021. It is based on the theme of nature attempting to capture the sentiments and the significance of a tree, the coconut tree which stands as a symbol. The Seascape, a collection of poems on one of the enduring features on earth was published in 2021. Quote Notes, published in 2022, is a collection of one lined observations intended to shed light on the nuances of the various, seemingly ordinary facets of existence. She is a 2009 batch officer of the Indian Administrative Service of Kerala Cadre. She holds a Ph.D in English from the University of Kerala. Born to S.Thrivikraman Nair and B.Seethalekshmi Amma, she lives in Thiruvananthapuram.
